Poldark Tv Series Cast

Meet the Poldark TV Series Cast: Your New Fave Squad!

Alright, gather 'round, folks! We're about to dive into the wonderful world of Poldark, the TV series that's got us all swooning and swooshing our skirts (or cravats, depending on your persuasion). So, grab your tea (or grog, if you're feeling adventurous), and let's get to know the fantastic cast that brings this Cornish saga to life!

Ross Poldark: The Brooding Hero

At the heart of it all is our leading man, Ross Poldark, played by the dreamy Aidan Turner. Now, Aidan might be Irish, but he pulls off that Cornish accent like a pro. Ross is our resident captain-turned-miner, with a heart as big as the cliffs of Land's End. He's got that whole 'dark and stormy night' thing going on, but don't worry, he's not as brooding as he seems. Plus, have you seen those shoulders? They're practically made for carrying the weight of the world (or at least, the weight of a mining operation).

Demelza: The Girl Next Door (Who's Also a Total Badass)

Our leading lady, Demelza, is played by the lovely Eleanor Tomlinson. Now, Eleanor might be a Yorkshire lass, but she's nailed that Cornish accent too. Demelza starts off as a kitchen maid, but she's no ordinary maid. She's fierce, funny, and has a heart of gold. She's the kind of gal who can hold her own in a fight (both literal and metaphorical), and we can't help but cheer her on. Plus, her and Ross's love story is about as swoon-worthy as they come.

The Poldark Family: More Drama Than a Soap Opera

The Poldark family tree is about as twisted as they come. There's Ross's cousin, Francis Poldark, played by the ever-so-handsome Kyle Soller. Francis is a bit of a cad, but Kyle brings a certain charm to the role that makes us love to hate him. Then there's Ross's Aunt Elizabeth, played by the elegant Heida Reed. Elizabeth is a bit of a mystery, and Heida plays her with just the right amount of intrigue. And let's not forget the scheming George Warleggan, played by the brilliant Jack Farthing. Jack brings a certain je ne sais quoi to the role that makes us love to loathe him.

The Crew: The Unsung Heroes of Poldark

Now, we can't talk about the cast without mentioning the incredible crew behind the scenes. From the stunning cinematography that makes Cornwall look like a dream (even when it's raining), to the incredible costumes that make us wish we could time-travel to the 18th century, the crew of Poldark is just as much a part of the magic as the cast. Plus, have you seen the size of those wigs? Someone's got to style those bad boys, and we salute them for it!
