North Korea Kim Jong Un Age

So, I was watching the news the other day, and there's this guy, Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, looking all serious and stuff. I mean, the guy's got a haircut that's been trending since the '90s, but that's a story for another time. I started wondering, how old is this guy? I mean, he's been running the show since 2011, and he looks like he's barely out of his teens!

Now, I know what you're thinking, "Dude, you're not seriously trying to figure out Kim Jong Un's age, are you?" Well, yeah, I am. Because, you know, curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. Plus, it's not every day you get to play detective with a real-life world leader.

So, how old is Kim Jong Un, really?

Alright, let's dive into the mystery. Kim Jong Un was born on January 8, 1983, according to most sources. But, and this is a big but, his birthday is a state secret in North Korea. So, take that with a grain of salt. If we go by the official story, that makes him 39 as of 2022. But here's where it gets interesting.

Some experts believe that Kim Jong Un might have fudged his birthdate to make himself seem older. You know, because who wants to be the youngest dictator in the world? If that's the case, then he could be as young as 36. But who knows? It's not like he's going to invite us over for his real birthday party.

Why does it matter?

You might be wondering, "Why does it even matter how old Kim Jong Un is?" Well, aside from satisfying our curiosity, it can give us some insight into his leadership style. You know, like how he might be more open to new ideas because he's younger, or how he might be more set in his ways because he's been in power for so long. It's all just food for thought.

Plus, let's be real, it's just fun to speculate about stuff like this. I mean, it's not like we can ask him directly. "Hey Kim, how old are you really?" Yeah, that's not gonna happen. So, we're left to our own devices, and that's half the fun!

What do we know for sure?

Alright, enough with the speculation. What do we know for sure about Kim Jong Un's age? Well, we know that he took over from his father, Kim Jong Il, in 2011. He was just 27 years old at the time. That makes him the youngest leader of North Korea, ever. And we know that he's been in power for over a decade now, which is a pretty impressive feat for someone so young.

We also know that he's a big fan of basketball. Like, really big. He's a huge fan of Dennis Rodman, who's visited North Korea several times. I mean, who would've thought that the leader of a closed-off country like North Korea would be such a big NBA fan? But hey, I guess even dictators need some downtime.

So, what's the verdict?

Alright, so we've established that Kim Jong Un was born in 1983, but his real age is a bit of a mystery. If we go by the official story, he's 39. But if he's been fudging his age, he could be as young as 36. Either way, he's been leading North Korea for over a decade, which is a pretty big deal.

But hey, this is all just speculation. The real answer is probably locked away in some secret North Korean vault. Or maybe Kim Jong Un will just reveal it on his next state TV appearance. A guy can dream, can't he?

Anyway, that's all I've got for you today. I hope you enjoyed this little dive into the mystery of Kim Jong Un's age. Who knows? Maybe next time we'll solve the mystery of his haircut. Until then, stay curious!
