Jamie Vardy How Old

Hey there, football fanatics! You might be wondering, "How old is that speedy striker, Jamie Vardy?" Well, grab a cuppa, 'cause we're about to dive into a little journey through time, Vardy-style.

Born in the '80s, but not the one with the big hair

Jamie Richard Vardy was born on January 11, 1987, in Sheffield, England. That's right, he's a Sheffield lad, born just a year after the iconic song "With or Without You" by U2 hit the charts. But don't worry, he's not that old!

From the streets to the stadium

Vardy didn't always have the spotlight on him. In fact, he was rejected by Sheffield Wednesday's youth academy at the age of 15. Can you believe that? The same Jamie Vardy who's now scoring goals left, right, and center! Talk about a comeback story, eh?

After that setback, Vardy decided to focus on his education and worked as a technician at a chemical plant. But the love for the beautiful game never left him. He played for local teams in his spare time, and it wasn't long before his talent caught the eye of local club Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Vardy's rise to the top

Vardy's journey from non-league football to the Premier League is nothing short of inspiring. He made his professional debut for Fleetwood Town in 2011, and just three years later, he was playing for Leicester City. And we all know what happened next, don't we?

Since then, Vardy has become a staple in the Leicester City squad and a fan favorite. He's known for his pace, his goal-scoring abilities, and his never-say-die attitude. And at 35 years old (as of 2022), he's still going strong!
