Is Les Gold Still Alive

Hey there, curious mind! You've found yourself here because you're wondering, "Is Les Gold still alive?" Well, grab a cup of coffee, let's chat about this.

So, Who's Les Gold Anyway?

Alright, let's rewind a bit. Les Gold, born Leonard 'Les' Gold on March 28, 1945, is an American businessman, reality TV personality, and, as his fans would say, a true treasure hunter. He's the owner of American Jewelry and Loan, a pawn shop in Detroit, Michigan, which has been featured in the reality TV show "Hardcore Pawn" since 2010.

Now, About That 'Alive' Part...

As of my last coffee break (which was, like, five minutes ago), yes, Les Gold is still very much alive and kicking! I mean, the man's a tough nut to crack, just like the pawn business he's been in for decades.

Les is known for his no-nonsense attitude, his quick wit, and his ability to turn a phrase that's as colorful as the gems he deals in. He's seen it all, from rare diamonds to, well, let's just say some 'interesting' family heirlooms. But through it all, he's remained a constant in the pawn industry.

Les Gold: The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Les didn't just stumble into the pawn business. He's been at it since the 1960s, when he started working at his father's pawn shop. He took over the business in the 1980s and turned it into the American Jewelry and Loan we know today.

He's not just a pawn shop owner, though. Les is also a reality TV star, a public speaker, and, believe it or not, a bit of a local celebrity in Detroit. He's been featured in magazines, on TV shows, and even has a star on the Detroit Walk of Fame. Not bad for a guy who started out selling second-hand goods!

Les Gold: The Family Man

Les isn't just about the business, though. He's also a family man. He's been married to his wife, Lili, since 1970, and they have two children, Seth and Ashley, who are both involved in the family business. Les is also a grandfather, which, let's face it, is just the cutest thing ever.

And Now, A Little Les Gold Wisdom

As we wrap up, let's leave you with a little Les Gold wisdom. When asked about his secret to success, Les once said, "I've always believed in hard work, honesty, and treating people right. That's what's kept me in business all these years."

So, there you have it. Les Gold is alive and kicking, and he's not just a pawn shop owner. He's a Detroit institution, a reality TV star, and a living example of what hard work and determination can achieve. Here's to Les, may his pawn shops always be full, and may his wit never fade!
