How Old Was Jax Teller In Season 1

So, there I was, binge-watching Sons of Anarchy for the umpteenth time, when it hit me. I've seen Jax Teller grow from a leather-clad teen to a fully-patched club president, but how old was he when the whole SAMCRO saga kicked off?

Now, I know what you're thinking, "Dude, it's just a TV show. Who cares?" Well, bear with me here. I've got this weird fascination with timeline stuff. It's like trying to solve a puzzle, you know?

Let's Ride Back in Time

Alright, so we meet Jax in Season 1, and he's all angsty and rebellious. But how old is he? The show's set in 2008, and Charlie Hunnam, the actor playing Jax, was born in 1980. So, let's do some math.

Charlie was 28 when Season 1 aired. Now, Jax is supposed to be a few years younger than his dad, Clay, who's the club's president. So, let's knock off a few years. And boom! Jax is 25 in Season 1.

But Wait, There's More

Now, I know what you're thinking, "But what about the flashbacks? Jax's all young and stuff in those." Well, yeah, those flashbacks show Jax as a teen, around 16 or 17, when his mom died and all that drama went down.

Evolution of Jax Teller : Sonsofanarchy

So, there you have it. Jax Teller was 25 when the first season of Sons of Anarchy started. Not that it really matters, I guess. I mean, it's not like it changes the story or anything. But hey, now you know. And isn't knowing half the fun?

Anyway, I'm off to watch some more SAMCRO. Until next time, my fellow SOA enthusiasts!
