Van was born in Llandudno, a small town in North Wales. He grew up with his brother, Jamie, and his parents, who, according to Van, were always supportive of his musical endeavors. He picked up the guitar at the age of 15 and hasn't looked back since.

Fun fact: Van's first band was called 'The Winter Sounds'. I know, right? Talk about a name change for the better. 'Catfish and the Bottlemen' just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?

Age is Just a Number

You know, it's interesting how we often associate age with wisdom. But let's not forget that youth has its own kind of wisdom too. Van McCann might be 30, but he's still got that youthful energy and passion that makes Catfish and the Bottlemen's music so infectious.
