How Old Is Rossi In Criminal Minds

So, you're curious about the age of Rossi in Criminal Minds, huh? Let's dive in, buddy!

First Things First: Who's Rossi?

Alright, for those who've been living under a rock (or just binge-watching something else), David Rossi is one of the main characters in Criminal Minds. He's the senior profiler, the guy with the most experience, and the one who's seen it all. Think of him as the wise old owl of the BAU.

Now, Let's Talk Age

Rossi is played by the incredibly talented Joe Mantegna. Now, Joe was born on November 13, 1947, which makes him a Scorpio (wink wink, astrology lovers) and, as of 2021, 73 years young.

But here's the thing, Rossi's character is a bit younger than Joe in real life. The show's timeline is a bit wonky, but according to the show's canon, Rossi was born in 1955. So, in the Criminal Minds universe, he's 66 years old.

Why the Age Difference?

You might be wondering why the show ages Rossi differently from Joe. Well, friend, that's Hollywood for you. They like to keep their stars looking young and vibrant. Plus, it makes the show's timeline a bit more flexible. After all, we can't have Rossi retiring just yet, can we?

Rossi's Journey Through the Series

Rossi joined the BAU in season 3, after a long and illustrious career with the FBI. He's been through a lot, from catching serial killers to dealing with his own personal demons. But through it all, he's remained the steady, wise presence that the team needs.

And let's not forget, he's got some serious one-liners. "Elevator music" anyone?

So, How Old Does Rossi Look?

Well, that's a bit subjective, isn't it? In the show, Rossi looks like a man in his late 50s, early 60s. Joe Mantegna, with his silver hair and sharp features, pulls off the look perfectly. But remember, age is just a number, and Rossi's got the energy and wit of a man half his age.
