How Old Is Lzzy Halestorm

Born in the '80s

Lzzy Hale, born Elizabeth Mae Hale, was welcomed into the world on October 10, 1983, in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. That makes her a Millennial, born in the decade of big hair, neon colors, and, of course, some legendary rock music.

Growing up, Lzzy was surrounded by music. Her father, Roger Hale, was a drummer, and her mother, Beth Hale, was a singer. It was only a matter of time before the musical genes kicked in.

Early Start in the Spotlight

Lzzy started performing at the age of 10, joining her father's band, the band of OZ, as a backing vocalist. By the time she was 13, she had picked up the guitar and was already writing her own songs. Talk about starting young!

Her first band, a four-piece called "Phantasm," was formed when she was just 16. It was here that Lzzy honed her skills and began to craft the powerful sound that would later become Halestorm.

Halestorm Takes the Stage

Halestorm, the band we know and love, was officially formed in 1997 when Lzzy was just 14 years old. Yes, you read that right! The band's name is a nod to Lzzy's grandmother, who used to call her "Little Miss Hurricane" or "Halestorm" for short.

Age is Just a Number

So, how old is Lzzy Hale? As of 2021, she's 37 years young. But age is just a number, right? Lzzy has accomplished more in her career than many musicians do in a lifetime.

She's a two-time Grammy winner, has been named the "Dimebag Darrell Shredder of the Year" at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, and has even been featured on the cover of Guitar World. Not bad for someone who's still in their 30s!
