Let's Start at the Beginning

Eric Cantona, born on May 24, 1966, in Marseille, France, is a man who's seen and done a lot in his years. But wait, how many years exactly? Let's do some math, shall we?

As of 2023, Eric Cantona is 56 years old. That's right, the King of Old Trafford is officially a senior citizen in football years. But hey, age is just a number, right?

From Teenage Rebel to Football Icon

Cantona started his professional football career at the tender age of 17 with Marseille. Imagine that, a teenager playing among the pros. It's like going from high school to the NBA in one leap!

From there, he bounced around a bit, playing for clubs like Bordeaux, Auxerre, and Leeds United before finally landing at Manchester United in 1992. And boy, did he make an impact!

His Reign at Manchester United

Cantona's time at United, from 1992 to 1997, was nothing short of legendary. He scored some incredible goals, won four Premier League titles, and became a cult hero. All this while in his late 20s and early 30s. That's like being in your prime for, well, forever in football years!

Retirement and Beyond

Cantona retired from football at the age of 30, which might seem young to us, but in the '90s, that was pretty much the norm. He then went on to pursue acting, which, let's face it, is way cooler than most retirement plans.

Now, in his 50s, Cantona is still a prominent figure in football, often seen at United games and even making the odd appearance on the pitch. He's like the cool uncle who always shows up to the family BBQ, ready to tell stories and make everyone laugh.
