How Old Is Brandon Mccoy Jr

So, you're curious about that Brandon McCoy, huh? The one who's been making waves in the basketball world? Let's grab a coffee and chat about it.

Let's Start with the Basics

Alright, so you're wondering, "How old is Brandon McCoy Jr.?" Well, let's do some math. He was born on January 17, 2000. That makes him, hold on to your hats, 22 years old as of 2022. Yep, you heard it right. He's just a baby in the grand scheme of the NBA, but don't let that fool you.

Now, you might be thinking, "22? That's it? He looks like he's been around forever!" Well, that's the magic of good genes and a growth spurt or two. But hey, we'll get to that later.

From High School Phenom to NBA Prospect

So, you're probably wondering, "How did this kid get so good, so fast?" Well, let's rewind a bit. Brandon was a high school phenom, playing for Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego. He was a beast on the court, averaging 22.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game during his senior year. Not too shabby, huh?

But here's where it gets interesting. Brandon decided to skip the traditional one-and-done route and headed straight to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He spent two seasons there, honing his skills and making a name for himself in the college basketball scene. And let me tell you, he made quite the impression.

In his sophomore year, he averaged 17.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Not too bad for a kid who was still technically a teenager. But hey, that's just Brandon for you. Always exceeding expectations.

And let me tell you, Brandon has been making the most of his opportunity. He's not a starter yet, but he's been making waves off the bench, contributing in his own unique way. And let's not forget, he's still just 22 years old. The sky's the limit for this kid.
