How Old Are Stranger Things Characters In Season 1

So, grab your Eggo waffles and let's dive into the Upside Down, shall we? You've been binge-watching Stranger Things, right? Right! Now, let's talk about the ages of our faves in season one. Spoiler alert: they're all kids, but you knew that, duh!

Our Core Four

First up, we've got our fearless leader, Mike Wheeler. He's the one with the crush on Eleven, the haircut that's seen better days, and the heart of gold. Mike's 12 in season one, just like his best pals.

Speaking of which, let's not forget Dustin, the hilarious, food-loving sidekick. Dustin's also 12, and he's got the jokes and the appetite to prove it.

Then there's Lucas, the cautious, sensible one of the group. He's 12 too, and he's got the serious face and the slingshot to match.

And last but not least, we've got Will, the sweet, sensitive one who gets snatched by the Upside Down. Poor Will's 12 as well, and he's got the mom haircut to end all mom haircuts.

Eleven and the Grown-ups

Now, let's talk about Eleven. She's the badass, psychokinetic girl with a shaved head and a love for waffles. Eleven's 12 too, but she's got the wisdom and the powers of a woman twice her age.

Moving on to the grown-ups, we've got Joyce, Will's mom. She's the worried, determined single mom who won't stop until she finds her son. Joyce is 34, and she's got the mom jeans and the curly perm to show for it.

Then there's Nancy, the older sister who's got a thing for Steve and a secret with Jonathan. Nancy's 16, and she's got the '80s fashion sense and the teenage angst to match.

And finally, we've got Steve, the popular, handsome lifeguard who's got a heart of gold under that douchey exterior. Steve's 17, and he's got the hair gel and the polo shirts to prove it.

Now, you might be thinking, "Wait a minute, those kids don't look 12!" And you're right, they don't. But remember, this is the '80s we're talking about. Kids were kids back then, not little adults like they are now.
