How Old Are All The Nelsons

Ever wondered how old your favorite Nelsons are? No, not the ones from the Simpsons, or the Nelson Mandela we all admire. We're talking about the Nelsons who've shaped our music, movies, and even our daily lives. Let's dive in, shall we?

Sir Nelson Mandela: The Sage

Born on July 18, 1918, in Mvezo, South Africa, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela would have turned 103 this year. That's right, he was born before World War I, and yet, his influence is still as strong as ever. Mandela spent 27 years in prison for his activism, but he emerged to become South Africa's first black president, leading the country from 1994 to 1999.

His autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom, is a must-read. It's like a real-life Schindler's List, but with a happier ending. Mandela's legacy lives on, not just in South Africa, but worldwide. So, whenever you're feeling down, remember, Mandela was in prison for almost three decades, and he still managed to become a beacon of hope. Now, that's some serious #MondayMotivation.

Nelson Peltz: The Business Titan

Now, let's talk about another Nelson, Nelson Peltz. Born in 1942, Peltz is an American businessman and investor. He's the CEO of Trian Fund Management, L.P., and he's worth a cool $1.7 billion, according to Forbes. That's more zeros than I can count on my fingers and toes.

Peltz is known for his activist investing strategies, which is just a fancy way of saying he buys stakes in companies and then tries to influence their management. It's like being a shareholder with superpowers. His portfolio includes companies like Procter & Gamble and DuPont. So, the next time you're using Tide or eating at Wendy's (which Peltz helped turn around), remember, you're indirectly supporting Nelson Peltz's empire.

Nelson Freitas: The Music Maestro

Born in 1988, Nelson Freitas is a Portuguese musician and producer. He's the mastermind behind the popular electronic music project, Branko. Freitas started his career at the age of 15, and he's since worked with the likes of Madonna, Buraka Som Systema, and even won a Grammy for his work on the soundtrack of the movie Rio 2.

Freitas' music is a blend of African rhythms, electronic beats, and traditional Portuguese music. It's like a musical journey around the world, and it's perfect for your next dance party. So, the next time you're grooving to some electronic music, you might just be listening to Nelson Freitas.

How Old Are You, Really?

While we're talking about ages, have you ever thought about your own? I mean, not just the number of candles on your birthday cake, but your real age. You know, the one that takes into account all the experiences, the lessons learned, the love shared, and the challenges overcome.

Because, let's face it, age is just a number. It's what we do with that number that really matters. So, go ahead, add a few more candles to your cake. You've earned them. And remember, as Mandela once said, "Age is no guarantee of wisdom, and youth is no guarantee of innovation."
