The Duffer Brothers Age

So, there I was, binge-watching Stranger Things for the third time (don't judge me, you've been there too), when it hit me. I mean, really hit me. I was watching a show created by two guys who were way younger than I thought they'd be. I mean, creating a global phenomenon like Stranger Things? That's some serious grown-up stuff, right?

But hold on a sec, let's rewind. Who are these Duffer Brothers, you ask? Well, grab a cup of coffee (or tea, I don't discriminate), and let's dive in.

Meet the Duffers: Matt and Ross

Alright, so first things first. The Duffer Brothers are Matt and Ross Duffer. Now, before you start thinking they're some ancient Hollywood duo, let me stop you right there. These guys were born in the '80s, yes, you heard it right. The same decade that inspired their hit show.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, the brothers grew up in a family that loved movies. Their dad, who worked in advertising, would bring home old films for them to watch. It's safe to say, their love for cinema was cultivated early on.

From YouTube to Netflix

Now, you might be wondering how these two ended up creating one of the most popular shows on Netflix. Well, it's a bit of a wild ride. The brothers started out making short films and posting them on YouTube. One of their shorts, Eater, even caught the attention of M. Night Shyamalan, who helped them get an agent.

Fast forward a bit, and the brothers had sold a pilot to Fox. But it never saw the light of day. Undeterred, they decided to try their luck with a different concept. Enter: Stranger Things.

They wrote the pilot on spec (that's Hollywood speak for 'for free'), and sent it out to a few production companies. Netflix bit, and the rest, as they say, is history.

So, how old are they again?

Alright, alright, you're dying to know. As of 2021, Matt is 37, and Ross is 36. Yep, you read that right. They were in their early 30s when Stranger Things premiered, and it blew up into the phenomenon we all know and love today.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Wow, they're practically babies!" But hey, don't let their youth fool you. These guys have been creating and honing their craft for years. They've proven that age is just a number, and talent and hard work can take you anywhere.

Fun Fact: They're twins!

Yep, you read that right. The Duffer Brothers are twins. Now, I'm not saying they have some sort of twin telepathy that helps them create such amazing content, but... well, it's an interesting thought, isn't it?

So there you have it, folks. The Duffer Brothers are younger than you thought, and they're taking the world by storm. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some episodes to rewatch. Until next time!
