Mary Nightingale How Old

Ever wondered what's brewing in the mind of that charming woman who's been our evening news anchor for what feels like forever? I'm talking about Mary Nightingale, of course! You know, the one with the warm smile that can melt the frostiest of news stories.

So, Mary, how old are you?

Well, that's a question she's been dodging like a pro since she started her broadcasting career back in the '80s. Born on 18th March 1963, Mary's been keeping her age a closely guarded secret. But hey, who can blame her? In an industry that's obsessed with youth, she's been a breath of fresh air, proving that experience and charm age like fine wine.

Why the secrecy, you ask?

Mary's not one to shy away from a good laugh. She's admitted that she's been fibbing about her age since she was a teenager, claiming to be older than she was to seem more mature. Now, she's just sticking to her story, and we're all in on the joke!

But here's the thing, folks. Mary's not just a pretty face reading the news. She's a seasoned journalist who's seen it all. From covering the fall of the Berlin Wall to interviewing the likes of Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama, she's got more than a few stories to tell.

Mary's not your average newsreader. She's a character, through and through. She's admitted to having a slight obsession with shoes - she's got over 300 pairs! And get this, she's such a fan of the telly that she's even named some of her shoes after her favorite TV shows. I mean, who hasn't named a pair of heels 'Friends' or 'Sex and the City', right?

But it's not just her shoe collection that makes Mary, well, Mary. She's a bit of a history buff too. She's got a degree in history from Oxford, and she's even written a book about the history of broadcasting. Talk about a woman of many talents!
