How Old.is Elton John

Ever Wondered: How Old is Elton John?

Alright, let's dive into this. You know Elton John, right? The guy who's been crooning hits like "Rocket Man" and "Candle in the Wind" since, well, forever? But how old is he, really? Let's find out, yeah?

First things first, Elton John was born on March 25, 1947. That's right, the same year as some other iconic figures like Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney. But here's where it gets interesting. While they've all been making music for decades, Elton's career has been nothing short of extraordinary.

From Piano Lessons to Rock 'n' Roll

Elton's journey started when he was just four years old, learning to play the piano. By the time he was a teenager, he was playing in local pubs and clubs. So, when you think about it, he's been at this music thing for a really, really long time.

Now, you might be thinking, "Okay, but how does that make him old?" Well, let's put it this way. When Elton started his career, the Beatles were still together. That's right, the same Beatles that your parents or grandparents probably swooned over. Mind. Blown.

Still Going Strong

Elton's career spans over six decades, with no signs of slowing down. He's sold over 300 million records, won five Grammy Awards, and was even knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1998. That's right, he's a Sir now. Pretty cool, huh?

But here's the kicker. Despite all these achievements and his, well, advanced age, Elton's still touring and making music. In fact, he's currently on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which started in 2018 and is set to end in 2023. That's right, he's been saying goodbye to touring for five years. Talk about a long farewell!

Age is Just a Number

So, how old is Elton John? As of 2023, he's 76 years young. But remember, age is just a number. Elton's still out there, giving us music that makes us feel like we're flying high with the greatest of the great. And isn't that what really matters?

Next time you listen to "Tiny Dancer" or "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", remember, you're listening to a legend. A legend who's been around since before you were even born. Pretty cool, huh?
