How Old Were The Stranger Things Actors In Season 1

So, I was binge-watching Stranger Things the other day, and I found myself wondering, "How old were these kids when they started this whole thing?" You know, because they all look like they've barely hit puberty, but in reality, they might be old enough to vote or something. Crazy, right?

Millie Bobby Brown - Eleven

Let's start with the badass herself, Millie Bobby Brown. When Stranger Things first aired in 2016, she was just a baby - I mean, 12 years old. I know, right? She was born in 2004, which makes her a millennial, but barely. Can you believe she was only 12 when she was kicking Demogorgon butt?

Finn Wolfhard - Mike Wheeler

Now, Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike, was a little older when the show started. He was 13 when the first season came out. Born in 2002, he's also a millennial, but he's got a few years on Millie. Fun fact: Finn was actually homeschooled during the filming of the first season because, you know, he was busy saving the world from alternate dimensions.

Gaten Matarazzo - Dustin Henderson

Next up, we have Gaten Matarazzo, who plays the lovable Dustin. When the show started, he was 13 as well, born in 2002 like Finn. But here's where it gets interesting - Gaten was actually diagnosed with cleidocranial dysplasia, a condition that affects the growth of bones and teeth. So, even though he looks younger than his peers, he's actually the same age as them. Mind. Blown.

Caleb McLaughlin - Lucas Sinclair

Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas, was the youngest of the main kids when the show started. He was just 14 when the first season came out, born in 2001. Fun fact: Caleb is a trained martial artist, which explains why Lucas is always so quick on his feet when running from monsters.

Noah Schnapp - Will Byers

And finally, we have Noah Schnapp, who plays the unfortunate Will Byers. When the show started, he was 11 years old. Born in 2004, he's the same age as Millie. Fun fact: Noah is actually a twin! His sister, Chloe, is an actress as well. Talk about a talented family!

So there you have it, folks. The kids of Stranger Things were all pretty young when the show started. It's crazy to think that they were all still in their tweens when they were dealing with monsters and government conspiracies. Makes you feel old, doesn't it?

But hey, at least we can all agree that they've grown up right before our eyes, both on and off screen. And who knows? Maybe in a few years, they'll all be old enough to finally watch the show without their parents' permission. Until then, we'll just have to keep binge-watching and marveling at their talent.

Stay curious, my friends!
