Who Was This Gally Guy Anyway?
Have you ever watched The Maze Runner and thought, "Who is that intense kid with the angry eyebrows?" Well, that is Gally, played by the super talented Will Poulter. But here is a fun question: how old was Will Poulter in Maze Runner when he first showed up on screen?
The First Maze Runner Movie
The original film dropped back in 2014, and Will was born in 1993. So, how old was Will Poulter in Maze Runner during that first crazy adventure? He was just 20 years old, which is honestly kind of wild when you think about it.
Think about it for a second. He was playing a teenage boy, but he was already a full-grown adult. Did he really look like a high schooler? Absolutely not, and that is part of what makes his performance so incredibly cool and memorable.
Must Read
Gally was built like a brick shithouse, acting all tough and fiercely protective of the Glade. Will Poulter brought this raw, aggressive energy that felt way older than his actual years. It is like watching a 20-year-old acting like a grizzled veteran, and honestly, it worked perfectly on the big screen.
Stepping Into the Scorch
So, how old was Will Poulter in Maze Runner when the sequel came out? The Scorch Trials hit theaters in 2015. By that time, Will was 21 years old, and he had absolutely grown into the role of the angry leader.
Then came the final chapter, The Death Cure, in 2018. How old was Will Poulter in Maze Runner for that last epic ride? He was 24 or 25, which means he was technically an adult playing a teenager for three whole movies.

Age is Just a Number
It is pretty funny to compare his real age to the other actors in the cast. Dylan O'Brien was playing a teenage boy while he was actually 22 in the first film. Will Poulter was only a year older than him, but he looked like he could bench press a car with pure ease.
Have you ever tried to act tough when you are barely old enough to rent a car? It is a tough gig for any young actor trying to fit in. Will managed to pull off the grumpy, protective leader vibe without breaking a sweat, which is seriously impressive.
Before the Maze Runner series, Will was already making waves in smaller movies like Son of Rambow. People were like, "Who is this kid, and why does he look so old?" That mystery only deepened when he stepped into the chaotic Maze Runner universe.

What Happened After?
After the Maze Runner films wrapped up, Will took a bit of a break from huge blockbuster movies. He popped up in Black Mirror and a few other indie projects, showing his impressive range and versatility. How old was Will Poulter in Maze Runner compared to his current projects? He was just a kid playing a very intense kid.
Let us put his age into perspective for a moment. When he was 20, he was hanging out with teen actors on set, probably eating pizza between takes. It is like watching a college sophomore trying to act like a high school senior, except he was doing it on a massive Hollywood stage.
Wrapping It Up
So, how old was Will Poulter in Maze Runner? He was 20 in the first film, 21 in the second, and 24 in the third. It is a fun little trivia fact that makes watching the movies even more interesting and enjoyable for fans.

He was barely older than the rest of the cast, yet he owned every single scene with total confidence and undeniable presence.
