So, you're curious about the age of our beloved Penelope Featherington in Bridgerton Season 1, huh? Well, grab a cup of tea, get comfy, and let's dive into this like we're old pals gossiping at a society ball.
First Things First: The Books vs. The Show
Before we start, let's address the elephant in the room. The books by Julia Quinn and the Netflix series are like cousins - they share some DNA, but they're not identical. So, while the books give us a clear age for Penelope (she's 17), the show likes to keep us guessing.
Alright, So How Old Is She in the Show?
Now, let's talk about the show. Here's where it gets fun. The Featherington family is portrayed as a bit of a comedy troupe, and Penelope is the lovable, awkward, and incredibly smart underdog. But her age? It's a bit of a mystery.
Must Read
In the first episode, Penelope attends her first season, which typically happens around 17 or 18 years old. But the show doesn't give us a definitive number. Instead, they focus on her personality and growth, which is honestly more interesting than a birthdate.

Why the Vagueness?
Here's the thing: the showrunners wanted to keep Penelope's age ambiguous. Why? Because it allows us to focus on her character development rather than her age. Plus, it adds a layer of intrigue. I mean, who doesn't love a good mystery?
And let's be real, Nicola Coughlan (our dear Penelope) is 35 in real life. But who cares? She nails the role, and that's what matters.

So, Should We Care About Her Age?
At the end of the day, does it really matter how old Penelope is? I say no. What's important is her journey, her growth, and her incredible wit. She's a heroine we can all root for, regardless of her age.
So, let's raise a glass to Penelope Featherington - the smart, funny, and incredibly relatable heroine of Bridgerton. Whether she's 17 or 107, she's a joy to watch. And isn't that what really matters?
