How Old Was Morgan Freeman

So, there I was, sitting in my local coffee shop, minding my own business, when I overheard a couple of folks at the next table discussing Morgan Freeman's age. Now, I've always been a bit curious about that myself, so I decided to tune in.

One of them swore he was in his 90s, the other insisted he was just a sprightly 70-something. I thought to myself, "Well, that's quite a gap. Let's find out, shall we?"

Unraveling the Mystery

You know how it is, once you get a question like that in your head, it's hard to shake it off. So, I decided to do a little digging. I mean, it's not like I had anything better to do, right? (Don't judge me, I was on a coffee break!)

Now, I'm sure you're thinking, "Just Google it, already!" And you'd be right. But where's the fun in that? I decided to take a little trip down memory lane first. You know, for old time's sake.

Fast forward to 1987, Freeman lands his iconic role as Ellis Boyd 'Red' Redding in "The Shawshank Redemption". He's 59 by now. I was still trying to pass my driving test at that age. (Again, maybe that's just me.)

Then, in 2005, he becomes the voice of God in "Bruce Almighty". He's 68. I was still trying to figure out how to adult at that age. (Okay, okay, I'll stop now.)
