How Old Was Moana In The First Movie

Ever wondered how old Moana was when she first set sail on her epic journey? Let's dive in and find out, shall we?

Meet Young Moana

When we first meet Moana, she's just a curious little tot, toddling around her island home of Motunui. We're talking around 2 or 3 years old, folks! That's right, our fearless heroine started her adventurous spirit at a tender age.

But don't worry, she didn't embark on her quest to find Maui and restore the heart of Te Fiti at that age. No, no, that would be a whole different movie!

Growing Up Moana

Fast forward a few years, and we find Moana as a teenager, around 16 or 17 years old. This is the Moana we know and love, with her fiery spirit and determination to prove herself.

By this time, she's already been chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti and save her people. Talk about a heavy responsibility for a teen!
