How Old Was Kang Sae Byeok

Hey there, curious mind! You've stumbled upon the ultimate question that's been buzzing around the internet like a little bee: just how old is Kang Sae Byeok from the smash-hit series, Squid Game? Let's dive in, shall we?

First Things First: Who's Kang Sae Byeok?

If you've been living under a rock (or just not binge-watching the right shows), Kang Sae Byeok is one of the main characters from Squid Game. She's a North Korean defector, a single mom, and a total badass. But enough about her backstory, let's get to the good stuff: her age.

So, How Old Is She?

Alright, let's break it down. In the show, Kang Sae Byeok is played by the incredibly talented Jung Ho-yeon. Jung was born on January 20, 1994, making her a sprightly 27 years old as of 2021. But remember, we're talking about her character's age here, not Jung's.

Now, here's where things get a little tricky. The show doesn't give us a specific age for Kang Sae Byeok. But we can make some educated guesses. Kang has a young daughter, Ji-yeong, who's around 5 or 6 in the show. Kang was in her early 20s when she had Ji-yeong, which means she's probably in her mid-to-late 20s now.

But Wait, There's More!

Some fans have been speculating that Kang might be older than we think. Remember the scene where she's playing the 'Tug of War' game? She mentions that she's been working since she was 10. That's a pretty big hint that she's been through a lot of life already. So, she could be in her early 30s, but that's just a guess.

She started her career at the age of 15 and walked the runway for big names like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Fendi. But she decided to switch gears and pursue acting instead. And boy, are we glad she did!
