How Old Was Drake In 2016

Hey there, let's chat about Drake for a sec, yeah? You know, the guy who's always singing about how he started from the bottom, now he's here. But you might be wondering, just how old was he in 2016?

Well, grab a seat and let's dive in. First things first, Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, was born on October 24, 1986. So, if you're good at math, you've probably already figured out that he was 30 years old in 2016. But stick around, 'cause there's more to this story than just numbers.

From Degrassi to Rap Royalty

Now, you might remember Drake from his early days on the Canadian teen drama series, Degrassi: The Next Generation. He played Jimmy Brooks, the wheelchair-bound character, from 2001 to 2009. So, when he was 30 in 2016, he was already a seasoned performer, having spent over a decade in the spotlight.

But it wasn't until 2009 that Drake truly blew up in the music scene. That's when he dropped his debut mixtape, So Far Gone, and the rest, as they say, is history. So, when we talk about Drake being 30 in 2016, we're talking about a man who had already made a massive impact on the music industry.

2016: The Year of Views and More

Speaking of making an impact, let's talk about 2016. That was the year Drake released his fourth studio album, Views. The album was a massive success, spending 13 non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard 200. It was also the year he became the first artist to have three streams of the same song (in this case, One Dance) surpass one billion plays on Spotify.

But Drake wasn't just killing it in the music scene. He was also making waves in the acting world. In 2016, he executive produced and starred in the critically acclaimed series, The Carter Effect, a documentary about the impact of Drake and his mentor, Lil Wayne, on the Toronto Raptors.

Age is Just a Number

So, was Drake old in 2016? Well, that depends on how you look at it. In terms of years, he was 30. But in terms of experience and accomplishments, he was already a veteran in the entertainment industry. And let's not forget, age is just a number, right?
