Alright, gather 'round, folks. We're about to dive into the sitcom sea and find out just how old our favorite bumbling landlord, Don Knotts, was during the hilarious antics of Three's Company. Now, you might be thinking, "Who cares? I just wanna laugh at Jack Tripper's antics!" Well, hold your horses, because knowing this little tidbit might just make your next water cooler chat or Netflix party a whole lot more interesting.

So, How Old Was He?

Picture this: It's 1977, and Three's Company is about to make its debut. Don Knotts, our beloved Mr. Furley, is 52 years old. That's right, he was old enough to be a grandpa to most of the main cast! But don't you dare call him old. This guy was still as spry and funny as ever, proving that age is just a number, especially when you're making people laugh.

Now, Let's Put That in Perspective

Imagine you're at a family reunion. You've got your grandma there, who's probably around 70 or 80. Now, picture Don Knotts at 52, dancing with your grandma, making her laugh so hard she needs her dentures adjusted. That's the kind of energy he brought to the screen!

And here's a fun fact for you: When Three's Company started, Don Knotts was about the same age as your typical empty-nester. You know, the person who's just sent their kids off to college and is now wondering, "What do I do with all this free time?" Well, Don Knotts was using that time to become a sitcom legend!

But Wait, There's More!

Now, you might be wondering, "How old was he when the show ended?" Well, hold onto your hats, because by the time Three's Company wrapped up in 1984, Don Knotts was a cool 59 years old. That's right, he spent a solid seven years making us laugh until our sides split.

To put that in perspective, think about your favorite pair of jeans. You know, the ones you've had since college, that are just perfectly broken in? Those jeans are probably around seven years old. And just like those jeans, Don Knotts was a classic, worn in just the right way to make us love him even more with each passing year.
