How Old Was Chris Pratt In Guardians Of The Galaxy

So, you're curious about Chris Pratt's age in 'Guardians of the Galaxy', huh? Let's dive in, shall we?

Let's Set the Stage

Imagine it's 2014. You're sitting in a theater, munching on popcorn, and suddenly, Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, bursts onto the screen. You're like, "Who's this guy, and how old is he?"

Well, let's rewind a bit. Chris Pratt was born on June 21, 1979, in Virginia, Minnesota. That makes him a Gemini, in case you're into astrology. Now, let's fast-forward to 2014.

Enter: Star-Lord

Pratt was 35 when he first graced our screens as the charming, mixtape-loving, and slightly arrogant Star-Lord. But here's the kicker: his character, Peter Quill, was only 26 in the first 'Guardians' movie!

Yep, you read that right. Pratt was playing a character nine years younger than himself. Talk about a blast from the past!

Age is Just a Number

Now, you might be thinking, "How did he pull off playing a character so much younger?" Well, Pratt's got a few tricks up his sleeve. For one, he's got that youthful charm that just works for Star-Lord.

But here's where it gets interesting. Pratt actually lost 60 pounds for his role in 'Guardians'. That's right, folks! He went from a strapping 300 pounds to a svelte 240. Talk about a transformation!

Growing Up with the Guardians

Fast forward to 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' (2017), and Pratt was 38. This time around, Peter Quill was 34. The age gap was closing, but Pratt was still playing a character five years younger than himself.

By the time 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' rolls around (hopefully in 2023), Pratt will be 44, and Quill will be around 40. Talk about growing up together!

But hey, age is just a number, right? Pratt's managed to pull off playing a character younger than himself for three movies now. That's something to celebrate!
