How Old Was Alyssa Milano In Commando

Have you ever watched Commando and thought, "Wait, isn't that the girl from Charmed in the backseat?" It's one of those wild movie trivia facts that just sticks in your brain, right? Alyssa Milano was absolutely tiny when she stole a scene alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, and honestly, it's kind of hilarious that she was in such a massive action flick at such a young age.

So, how old was she exactly? Let's do the math, because numbers can be surprisingly tricky when you're looking at release dates. Alyssa was born on December 19, 1972, and the movie dropped in October 1985. That means she was just twelve years old when the cameras rolled, turning thirteen right around the corner.

The Young Actress Takes on Hollywood

Imagine being twelve years old and trying to act alongside a literal action hero who could bench press a small truck. It must have been absolutely intimidating for the young starlet, but she held her own remarkably well on set. Alyssa played Jenny, the daughter of a deceased general, and her role was surprisingly pivotal to the whole plot despite her young age.

You might remember the scene where she's kidnapped and has to act all scared while Schwarzenegger is off doing his thing. She was barely a preteen, yet she managed to look convincingly terrified on cue. Honestly, it's a testament to her talent that she didn't completely freeze up on set.

Behind the Scenes of a Classic Action Flick

The set of Commando was probably a wild place for a kid of her age. While Arnold was busy flexing and throwing bad guys around, Alyssa was just trying to keep up with the schedule. Child labor laws definitely played a role in how much she could film each day, ensuring she stayed safe.

It's funny to think about how much she has grown since those early days in the entertainment industry. She went from being a child actress in a Schwarzenegger movie to becoming a household name across the globe. Her career really took off after that, and she became an absolute icon in the '90s and beyond.

Think about it: she was only twelve, yet she was already hanging out with action legends and learning the ropes. That's the kind of resume builder that every young actor dreams of having early on. Hollywood is a strange and wonderful place when you're a natural talent with serious drive.

Watching the movie now, you can't help but smile at how young she looked in her iconic yellow dress. Time really does fly by, doesn't it? What was once a tiny girl in a big action movie is now a beloved actress and producer.
