How Old Was Alby In The Maze Runner

So, you're here 'cause you're dying to know, "How old was Alby in The Maze Runner?" Right? Let's dive in, grab a coffee, and chat about it.

First things first, Alby, our fearless leader, is played by Dylan O'Brien in the movie. Now, Dylan was born in 1991, making him a ripe old... well, not so old, 24 when the first movie came out in 2014.

But hold your horses, we're not talking about Dylan here, we're talking about Alby. In the book, Alby's age is never explicitly stated. I know, I know, it's like J.K. Rowling not telling us if Dumbledore was into polyjuice or not. Maddening, right?

Now, here's where things get a tad tricky. The Gladers, that's what they call the kids in the Maze, are all around the same age. They've been there for a while, but not too long. So, Alby's probably in his mid to late teens. Maybe around 16 or 17?

I mean, think about it. They're old enough to be leaders, to make tough decisions, but still young enough to be, you know, kidnapped and thrown into a massive maze. Not that I'm saying that's a good thing. I'm just saying, it's a thing.

Alby (Character) - The Maze Runner - Fandorable

Now, here's a fun fact for you. In the book, Alby's been the Glade's leader for two years. That's right, two whole years of navigating the Maze, dealing with Grievers, and keeping those kids in line. No wonder he's a bit... intense.

So, there you have it. Alby's age is a bit of a mystery, but we can safely say he's a teenager, navigating the maze of life, one Griever at a time. Now, who's ready for a refill?
