How Old Is Wirtz

Ever wondered about the age of your favorite childhood cartoon character? I mean, think about it, some of these guys have been around for decades, right? So, let's dive into the fascinating world of Wirtz, the lovable character from the animated series "Over the Garden Wall". How old is he, you ask? Let's find out!

So, who's Wirtz?

For those who haven't had the pleasure of meeting Wirtz, he's the older brother in the animated series "Over the Garden Wall". Created by Patrick McHale, the show first aired in 2014, but Wirtz's story is much older than that. You see, the series is actually a reimagining of McHale's earlier short film, "The Old Man and the Moon", which was created in 2005. So, Wirtz has been around for a while, even before he became a beloved cartoon character.

But how old is Wirtz, really?

Well, here's where things get a bit tricky. You see, Wirtz is a fictional character, and unlike us, he doesn't have a birthdate. But we can still have some fun with this, right?

If we consider the first appearance of Wirtz in "The Old Man and the Moon" as his "birthdate", then Wirtz would be around 17 years old in 2022. But remember, this is just a fun way to look at it. In the world of "Over the Garden Wall", Wirtz's age isn't explicitly stated. He's just a kid, navigating through a mysterious forest with his little brother, Greg.

Why does Wirtz's age matter?

You might be thinking, "Who cares about Wirtz's age? He's just a cartoon character." And you're right, in the grand scheme of things, Wirtz's age doesn't really matter. But here's the thing: understanding the age of our favorite characters can give us a deeper insight into their stories and the world they live in.

For instance, knowing that Wirtz has been around for over a decade can make us appreciate the longevity of "Over the Garden Wall". It's not just a fleeting trend, but a story that has stood the test of time. Plus, it's a fun fact to share with fellow fans, right?

Wirtz's age in comparison

Now, let's have some fun with this. If Wirtz were a real person, he'd be around the same age as some of your favorite celebrities. For example, he'd be the same age as Miley Cyrus, who was born in 1992. Or, if you're a fan of K-pop, Wirtz would be around the same age as BTS's Jin, who was born in 1992 as well.

Pretty cool, huh? It's like Wirtz is hanging out with the stars!

But here's the thing about Wirtz: despite being around for over a decade, he doesn't feel old. That's because "Over the Garden Wall" is a timeless story. It's a tale of brotherhood, adventure, and overcoming fears, themes that resonate with audiences of all ages.

So, while Wirtz might be "17" in our fun little calculation, he'll always be that curious, brave kid in our hearts, ready to embark on another adventure in the mysterious forest.

And that, my friends, is the beauty of fictional characters. They might not have a real age, but they sure have a lot of heart. So, the next time you watch "Over the Garden Wall", remember that Wirtz has been around for a while, and he's not going anywhere anytime soon. And that's pretty cool, don't you think?
