How Old Is Scotty Scheffler

So, you're wondering, "How old is Scotty Scheffler, the golfing sensation who's been making waves on the PGA Tour?" Let's dive in and find out, shall we?

Born in the '90s, but not the one you're thinking of

Scotty, full name Scott Gregory Scheffler, was born on June 21, 1996. That's right, he's a '90s baby, but not the kind that was rocking out to the Spice Girls or playing with Tamagotchis. He was born in the latter half of the decade, so he's more of a '90s kid than a '90s trendsetter.

Now, you might be thinking, "That can't be right. He's too good at golf to be that young!" Well, hold onto your hats, because we're just getting started.

Young, but not inexperienced

Even though Scotty is still in his mid-20s, he's already racked up an impressive resume on the golf course. He turned professional in 2018, after a successful college career at the University of Texas. So, he's been making a name for himself in the golf world for quite some time now.

In fact, he's been so successful that he's already earned his PGA Tour card and has won multiple tournaments. He's not just a flash in the pan; he's a force to be reckoned with on the green.

From Texas to the top of the leaderboard

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Scotty grew up with a club in his hand. His dad, Scott Scheffler Sr., introduced him to the game when he was just a toddler. It's safe to say that the apple didn't fall far from the tree – his dad was a scratch golfer, too!

Scotty's love for the game only grew as he got older. He played golf in high school and then went on to compete at the collegiate level. It was during his time at the University of Texas that he really started to make a name for himself in the golf world.

From college to the big leagues

After graduating from UT in 2018, Scotty turned professional. He started playing on the Korn Ferry Tour, which is like the minor leagues of professional golf. It wasn't long before he was making a name for himself there, too.

In 2019, he won the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, which earned him his PGA Tour card for the 2020 season. That's right, folks. This guy went from college golf to the big leagues in just a few short years.

Making his mark on the PGA Tour

Scotty's first full season on the PGA Tour was in 2020, and he didn't disappoint. He finished the season with a T15 ranking, which is pretty impressive for a rookie. But he didn't stop there.

In 2021, he won his first PGA Tour event at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. He followed that up with another win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. Not too shabby for a kid who's still in his mid-20s, huh?

So, how old is Scotty Scheffler, really?

Well, as of 2022, Scotty is 25 years old. But don't let his age fool you. This guy has already accomplished more in his golf career than many players do in their entire lives. He's young, he's talented, and he's definitely one to watch in the world of golf.

So, the next time you're watching the PGA Tour and you see Scotty Scheffler teeing off, remember that he's not just another golfer. He's a young gun who's already making his mark on the sport. And who knows? Maybe one day he'll be challenging the likes of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy for the title of best golfer in the world.
