How Old Is Roger From Rent

So, you're curious about Roger Davis from the musical Rent, huh? Well, grab your coffee, 'cause we're about to dive into a world of drama, music, and... well, not quite time travel, but close enough.

First things first: Roger's not a vampire (sorry, Twilight fans)

No, he doesn't sparkle, and no, he's not immortal. But he does have a thing for a certain someone who's, well, let's just say she's seen a few centuries. But we'll get to that later.

Now, let's set the scene

It's Christmas Eve, 1989, in good ol' New York City. Roger, our man, is a struggling musician, living in a cramped apartment with his cat, Squeeze. He's got a heart full of angst, a notebook full of lyrics, and a life full of... well, not much else. But hey, he's got a great view of the city. Sort of.

Enter: Mimi Marquez

Now, Mimi, she's a dancer, a junkie, and a whole lot of trouble. She's also got a thing for Roger. And Roger, well, he's got a thing for her too. It's complicated, okay? But here's where things get interesting.

Time warp incoming!

Mimi finds Roger's notebook, filled with lyrics about their love story. But here's the kicker: the notebook is from 2005. Yes, you read that right. Roger's been writing about their future. Mind. Blown.

Now, before you start thinking Roger's some kind of psychic, let me stop you right there. He's not. He just, uh, found the notebook. In the future. And brought it back. To the past. Yeah, I know, it's a lot. But hey, it's a musical. They do what they want.

So, how old is Roger, anyway?

Well, that's the thing. Roger's age is never explicitly stated in the musical. But if we're going by the timeline of the notebook, he's... let's see... 35 in 1989, which makes him... carry the one... 43 in 2005. But that's just math. In musical terms, Roger is ageless. He's a timeless tale of love, loss, and leather jackets.

But wait, there's more!

You might be thinking, "But what about Mimi? How old is she?" Well, that's a whole other can of worms. Let's just say she's... experienced. And leave it at that.

So, where can you find Roger today?

Well, if you're lucky, you might catch him on Broadway. Or maybe he's jamming out in a smoky bar somewhere. Or maybe he's just chilling at home, writing songs about his future self. Who knows? That's the beauty of Rent. It's a world of its own, and Roger, well, he's just trying to find his place in it.

And that, my friends, is the tale of Roger Davis. A man, a myth, a musical legend. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some lyrics to write. For my future self, of course.
