How Old Is Ritual Fortnite

So, you're curious about the age of Ritual Fortnite, huh? Well, buckle up, my friend, 'cause we're about to dive into a world of pixels, dances, and more building materials than Noah had for his ark. Let's get this show on the road!

Let's Set the Stage

Imagine, if you will, the year 2017. The world was a simpler place. Donald Trump was still trying to figure out how to use Twitter, and the only thing that could beat a game of 'Would You Rather?' was a good old-fashioned game of 'Truth or Dare'. Then, out of the blue, Epic Games dropped Fortnite like a stormtrooper's aim. And just like that, the gaming world was forever changed.

Now, Fortnite isn't just a game; it's a phenomenon. It's a cultural touchstone that's brought us the iconic dance moves of 'The Floss', made us all experts in building ramps, and turned the concept of 'dancing with danger' into a literal, pixelated reality. But among all its updates, one thing has remained constant: the Ritual.

What's a Ritual, You Ask?

Alright, let's back up a bit. You know how in some games, you've got your daily quests, your weekly challenges, your seasonal events? Fortnite's got all that, but with a twist. Every two weeks, Epic Games rolls out a new Ritual. It's like a mini-event, a little taste of something new to keep things fresh. And boy, have they been fresh!

We've had Rituals that brought us new game modes, like 'High Explosives' and 'Sniper Shootout'. We've had Rituals that introduced new cosmetics, like the 'Rift Edge' pickaxe and the 'Rift-To-Go' glider. We've even had Rituals that brought us new locations, like the mysterious 'Zero Point' and the spooky 'Haunted Hills'.

So, How Old Is Ritual Fortnite?

Well, if we're talking about the first Ritual, that would be 'Solid Gold', which dropped on February 2, 2018. That makes Ritual Fortnite a sprightly four years old as of this year. But here's where it gets a bit tricky. You see, Fortnite itself turned three in 2020, but the Rituals have been around since the game's early days. So, in a way, Ritual Fortnite is older than Fortnite itself!

Think of it like this: Fortnite is the parent, and the Rituals are the mischievous older sibling who's been pulling pranks since day one. The parent might be the one signing the checks, but the sibling's been the one keeping things interesting all along.

And the Beat Goes On...

So there you have it, folks. Ritual Fortnite is four years old and showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, with each new Ritual, it just keeps getting wilder. Who knows what Epic Games has up their sleeves for the next one? All we can do is wait, wonder, and maybe, just maybe, practice our 'Floss' in anticipation.

Until next time, keep dancing with danger, and remember: in the world of Fortnite, the only thing that's constant is change. And Rituals.
