How Old Is Richard Branson

So, you're wondering, "How old is Richard Branson, the guy who's always jumping out of planes and hot air balloons?" Well, grab a cuppa, let's chat about it!

Born in the Swinging '60s

Richard Charles Nicholas Branson, our man of many adventures, was born on July 18, 1950, in Blackheath, London. That makes him a baby boomer, born right in the heart of the swinging '60s. Imagine him as a little tyke, running around with his mop of blond hair, already full of mischief and charm.

Now, you might be thinking, "Wow, that makes him older than my parents!" Well, hold your horses, because while he's not a spring chicken, he's certainly not over the hill yet. Let's put it this way, he's older than your average pop star, but younger than your average monarch. Queen Elizabeth II, for instance, was born in 1926 - that's 24 years before Richard!

From Teenage Rebel to Billionaire

You know, Richard was always a bit of a rebel. He started his first business, a magazine called Student, at the age of 16. Can you imagine running a magazine at that age? I could barely manage my school newsletter!

From there, he went on to start Virgin Records in the '70s, and the rest, as they say, is history. He's now the founder of over 400 companies, including Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Media, and Virgin Galactic. And guess what? He's still as rebellious as ever, always pushing boundaries and breaking records.

Age is Just a Number, Right?

So, how does he do it? How does he keep up with all these crazy stunts and businesses? Well, Richard has a simple philosophy: age is just a number. He once said, "I don't think of age as a number, I think of it as a feeling." And by the looks of it, he feels like a kid in a candy store!

He's always up for a challenge, always ready to learn something new. And let's face it, he's got the energy of someone half his age. I mean, who else do you know who can run a multi-billion dollar company and still find time to kitesurf with his family?

Still Going Strong

As of 2021, Richard Branson is 71 years young. That's right, he's not one to shy away from his age, but he's certainly not letting it slow him down. In fact, he's showing no signs of stopping. He's still making headlines, still breaking records, and still inspiring people around the world.

So, the next time you see him on the news, doing something crazy and amazing, just remember, he's not just Richard Branson, the billionaire adventurer. He's Richard Branson, the 71-year-old kid who's still having the time of his life. And that, my friend, is something truly inspiring.

Here's to Richard Branson, the eternal rebel, the forever adventurer, and the living proof that age is just a number. Keep being awesome, Richard!
