How Old Is Poppy From Despicable Me 4

So, I was at the park the other day, pushing my niece on the swings, when this little girl comes up to us. She's got these big, round glasses, a cute little overbite, and she's wearing a striped dress with a yellow beehive on it. She looks up at me and goes, "You know, I'm way older than I look." I chuckled and said, "Oh yeah? How old are you then?" She tilts her head, smiles, and says, "I'm four!" I laughed, "Well, that's not so old, sweetheart. I've got a friend who's four too, but she's in a movie."

That got me thinking, how old is Poppy from Despicable Me 4, you know, the little minion-loving, fart-gun-wielding, super-sweet girl? I mean, she's got to be older than four, right? Let's dive into this, shall we?

Poppy's Timeline

Alright, so let's break it down. The first Despicable Me movie came out in 2010. In it, we meet Poppy, who's a sweet, innocent, and slightly naive little girl. She's adopted by Gru, the main character, and she's just the cutest thing ever. Now, we don't know her exact age in the first movie, but she looks like she's around eight or nine, right?

In the second movie, which came out in 2013, Poppy's still a kid, but she's a bit older. She's more confident, and she's got a little more sass. She's probably around ten or eleven here. And in the third movie, Despicable Me 3, which is set a few years later, Poppy's a teenager. She's got a boyfriend, she's got attitude, and she's probably around 15 or 16.

So, How Old Is She Now?

Now, we're in 2022, and Despicable Me 4 is on its way. If the movies are set a few years apart, and we're assuming Poppy ages in real-time with the movies, then she's probably around 18 or 19 now. But who knows? Maybe she'll be a college grad by the time the fourth movie comes out. Wouldn't that be something?

But hey, age is just a number, right? Poppy's always going to be that sweet, lovable little girl to us. And besides, who cares about age when you've got minions and fart guns on your side?

So, there you have it. Poppy from Despicable Me 4 is probably around 18 or 19. But remember, this is all just speculation. We'll have to wait for the movie to find out for sure. Until then, keep being awesome, just like Poppy.
