How Old Is Pie Face

Pie Face: A Timeless Treat, Ageless Wonder

Ever played Pie Face? You know, that game where you spin a wheel, hope for the best, and pray your friend doesn't get a cream pie to the kisser? It's a classic, right? But have you ever wondered, just how old is Pie Face?

Well, buckle up, because we're about to take a stroll down memory lane, or rather, pie lane. Let's dive in!

Back to the '50s

Picture this: it's the 1950s, the post-war boom is in full swing, and America is embracing its newfound love for leisure time. Enter Hasbro, the toy giant that would later bring us Transformers, G.I. Joe, and yes, Pie Face.

In 1959, Hasbro introduced the original Pie Face game, then known as "Daisy's Pie Face." It was a simpler time, folks. No spinning wheel, no cream pies. Just a simple, yet hilarious, game of chance where you'd pull a lever, hoping it wouldn't trigger a pie to the face.

Pie Face Through the Decades

Fast forward to the '70s, and Pie Face gets a facelift. Out goes Daisy, in comes a new, more modern design. The game is now called "Pie Face," and it's ready to make a splash in the disco era.

But it's not until the 2000s that Pie Face really hits its stride. In 2004, Hasbro gives the game a major overhaul. They add the now-iconic spinning wheel, and introduce the cream pies. Suddenly, Pie Face isn't just a game, it's an experience.

And the rest, as they say, is history. Pie Face becomes a global phenomenon, selling millions of units and even inspiring a YouTube challenge that racked up millions of views.

Pie Face Today

So, how old is Pie Face now? Well, it's been around for over six decades, making it a true classic. But don't think it's stuck in the past. Hasbro keeps Pie Face fresh with new versions, like Pie Face Showdown and Pie Face Cannon.
