Her professional career began at the tender age of eight, when she started performing on BBC Radio. By the time she was a teenager, she was already a seasoned performer, having appeared in several West End shows. So, when you ask, "How old is Petula Clark?" remember, she's been entertaining us for almost her entire life!

From Stage to Screen to Studio

Clark's career spans over seven decades, with no signs of slowing down. She's acted in films like Finian's Rainbow and I Know Where I'm Going!, and even had a brief stint on Broadway. But it's her music that truly defines her.

Her 1964 hit, "Downtown", became an anthem for the swinging '60s, topping charts worldwide. It's been covered by everyone from Pete Townshend to Lady Gaga. Clark's music has evolved with the times, from pop to disco to adult contemporary, but her signature sound remains unmistakable.
