Born in the '90s, but Still a Teen at Heart

Niall Horan was born on September 13, 1993, in Mullingar, Ireland. That makes him a Virgo, which explains his grounded and practical nature. Growing up, he was a typical '90s kid, loving sports and music. He even played the guitar and sang in his school's talent show, a sneak peek into his future stardom!

Fun fact: Niall's first concert was Westlife, another Irish boy band. Who would've thought he'd grow up to be a part of a global phenomenon himself?

From X Factor to World domination

In 2010, at the age of 16, Niall auditioned for The X Factor UK with his rendition of So Sick by Ne-Yo. Simon Cowell saw something special in him and put him together with four other boys to form One Direction. The rest, as they say, is history!

The band's debut single, What Makes You Beautiful, was released in 2011. Niall was just 17, but he and his bandmates were already taking the world by storm. They went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands of all time, with hits like What Makes You Beautiful, Drag Me Down, and Best Song Ever.
