How Old Is Moana

So, you're curious about Moana, huh? I mean, who isn't? She's like that friend who's always been there, but you never really knew her age. Let's dive in, shall we?

Where it all began

Moana, our beloved Disney princess, first graced our screens in 2016. That's right, she's been around for six years now. Can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday she was singing "How Far I'll Go" for the first time.

But wait, we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let's rewind a bit. Moana, or rather, her story, is based on Polynesian folklore. So, she's been around in one form or another for centuries. But in terms of her Disney incarnation, she's a relatively new kid on the block.

Age in the context of Disney

Now, you might be thinking, "But how old is Moana really?" Well, that's a bit tricky. See, Disney princesses don't exactly come with a birth certificate. They're more like... timeless figures. They're always there, always the same age.

Think about it. Ariel is always 16, Belle is always 17, and Cinderella is... well, she's always in her late teens, early twenties, right? Moana is no different. She's a teenager, but we don't know her exact age. It's like she's stuck in a perpetual adolescence, forever young and ready for adventure.

But what about the timeline?

Alright, let's try a different approach. Moana's story is set around 2000 years ago, in ancient Polynesia. So, in that context, she's a teenager from that era. But remember, we're talking about a fictional world here. It's not like we can pull out an ancient census record to check her birthdate.

And besides, who wants to be all technical about age when you can be out there, sailing the ocean, and discovering new islands? That's what Moana's all about, right?

So, what's the verdict?

In conclusion, Moana is a teenager. That's the best we can do. She's not 15, she's not 18, she's just... Moana. And that's what makes her so special. She's ageless, timeless, and always ready for her next adventure.

Now, who's up for a sing-along? "I am Moana of Motunui, a daughter of the village chief..."
