How Old Is Kanan In Rebels

Alright, gather 'round, folks. I've got a tale to tell about a certain Jedi, Kanan Jarrus, and his mysterious age. You know, the kind of story that'll make you question if time travel is real, or if the Force just likes to keep us guessing.

So, How Old Is Kanan? Let's Dive In!

First things first, Kanan wasn't always a smooth-talking, blaster-slinging Jedi Knight. No, no, no. He started his journey as a young Padawan learner, back in the days when the Jedi Order was still a thing. That's right, we're talking prequel trilogy era here. So, Kanan's got some serious mileage under his belt, or so you'd think.

Now, here's where things get a bit... confusing. You see, Kanan was supposed to be training with his Master, Depa Billaba, during the Clone Wars. But then, the big bad Sith Lord, Darth Sidious, decided to throw a wrench in everyone's plans with Order 66. Suddenly, Jedi were public enemy number one, and Kanan had to go into hiding.

Enter: The Lost Years

Here's where the story gets a bit... fuzzy. You see, Kanan managed to survive the Great Jedi Purge, but he was just a kid! So, he spent the next however many years (we're not sure exactly how many) living on the run, changing his name, and generally trying not to get himself killed. It's like a real-life game of hide and seek, but with way higher stakes.

So, when we finally catch up with Kanan again, he's all grown up and going by the name 'Kallus.' He's a bit of a rogue, a bit of a smuggler, and he's got a serious case of amnesia about his past. But hey, at least he's alive, right?

Enter: The Ghost Crew

Now, here's where things start to get interesting. Kanan teams up with a ragtag group of rebels, led by the spunky Hera Syndulla, on a ship called the Ghost. They're fighting against the Empire, trying to restore freedom to the galaxy, and generally causing all sorts of trouble. And wouldn't you know it, Kanan starts to remember his past. Whoops!

How Kanan Jarrus Righted the Wrongs of His Jedi Lineage

But here's the kicker: when Kanan finally remembers he's a Jedi, he's still got that young Padawan mind. I mean, think about it. He's been through more than most adults, but he's still got the brain of a kid. It's like the galaxy's most epic case of arrested development!

So, How Old Is He?

Alright, alright, you're all dying to know the big reveal. Well, here it is: Kanan is approximately 30 years old. Yes, you read that right. He's been through more than most people twice his age, but he's still a young whippersnapper in the grand scheme of things.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But wait! That doesn't make sense! He was a Padawan during the Clone Wars, and that was like, what, 14 years before the events of Rebels?" Well, folks, that's where the magic of storytelling comes in. You see, those lost years? They're a bit of a... well, let's call it a 'creative liberty.'

Kanan Star Wars Rebels

You know, like how Han shot first, but George Lucas said he didn't. Or how the prequels were supposed to be good, but... well, you get the picture. The point is, sometimes, the truth is a bit more complicated than we'd like it to be. And sometimes, it's just easier to say, "It's a long story," and leave it at that.

But Wait, There's More!

Now, you might be thinking, "Okay, so Kanan's 30. That's still pretty young. How did he become such a badass Jedi, anyway?" Well, folks, that's where the Force comes in. You see, after Kanan remembers he's a Jedi, he starts training again. And let me tell you, he's a quick study. It's like he never missed a beat.

But here's the thing: even though Kanan's got the mind of a kid, he's been through some serious stuff. He's seen the worst the galaxy has to offer, and he's still standing. So, even if he's not the oldest Jedi out there, he's definitely one of the wisest. And that, my friends, is something worth celebrating.

So, there you have it. The tale of Kanan Jarrus, the Jedi who's seen more than most, but is still young at heart. It's a wild ride, isn't it? But hey, that's the galaxy for you. Never a dull moment.
