How Old Is Ilia Malinin

Ever found yourself scrolling through social media, wondering, "Who's that kid with the killer skateboard tricks?" Chances are, you've stumbled upon Ilia Malinin. Born in 2003, this young gun is making waves in the skateboarding world, and we're not just talking about the half-pipe.

So, how old is Ilia Malinin?

As of 2023, Ilia is a sprightly 19 years old. That's right, he's still a teenager, and he's already got the skateboarding world on its toes. Born in the DMV area (that's D.C., Maryland, Virginia for the uninitiated), Ilia's been shredding since he was just a tot.

From Toddler to Pro

Malinin started skating at the ripe old age of two. His dad, a former skater himself, introduced him to the sport. By the time he was eight, Ilia was competing in amateur contests. Fast forward to 2021, and he's qualifying for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Not bad for a teen, huh?

Ilia's not just your average skater, though. He's got a unique style that's all his own. He's known for his smooth, technical tricks and his ability to make even the most complex maneuvers look effortless. His signature trick, the Quadruple Underflip, is a beast of a move that involves four full rotations in the air. It's like watching a human pinwheel.

But it's not all work and no play for Ilia. He's a regular teen, too. He loves playing video games (his favorite is Call of Duty) and hanging out with his friends. He's even got a dog, a husky named Nala, who's probably the only one in the Malinin household who doesn't skate.
