How Old Is Iggy Azalea

Hey there, let's chat about Iggy Azalea, the Aussie rapper who took the world by storm. You might be wondering, "How old is this hip-hop sensation?" Let's dive in!

Growing Up Amethyst

Iggy Azalea, born Amethyst Amelia Kelly, was born on June 7, 1990, in Sydney, Australia. That makes her a gemini, just like her first name! Now, before you start calculating her age, remember, she's a year older than her twin sister, Amethyst, who's actually younger. Confusing, right? Let's just agree that Iggy's always been a bit of an enigma.

Growing up in a small town called Mullumbimby, Iggy was surrounded by nature, not the usual backdrop for a future rap star. But hey, who needs a concrete jungle when you've got real ones, right?

From Down Under to the Top of the Charts

Iggy moved to the U.S. at 16 to pursue her music dreams. Talk about a big leap! She started rapping in 2011, and by 2014, she was topping the charts with "Fancy," her collaboration with Charlie XCX. That's some serious fast-forwarding, huh?

Her debut album, "The New Classic," dropped in 2014, and it was anything but new. It was a classic, with hits like "Work" and "Bounce." She was just 23, and she was already making waves in the music industry. Not bad for a girl from down under!
