So, there I was, cruising down the streets of Los Santos in my trusty old Blazer, when it hit me. I've been playing GTA V for what feels like forever, but I've never stopped to think about the age of our beloved protagonist, Franklin Clinton. I mean, the guy's been through a lot, but how old is he really? Let's dive in, shall we?
Franklin's Backstory
First things first, let's rewind a bit. Franklin's story starts with him as a street kid from South Los Santos, trying to make a better life for himself. He's got that classic troubled past, but he's also got ambition and a strong sense of loyalty. But when did all this start?
Well, Rockstar Games doesn't give us an exact birthdate, but they do drop some hints. In one of the game's early missions, "Complications," Franklin mentions he's been out of the foster care system for "a couple of years." Since he's 20 in the game's present, that puts him at around 18 when the game starts.

Franklin's Age in the Game's Timeline
Now, let's talk about the game's timeline. GTA V takes place over a span of a few months, starting in late 2012 and ending in early 2013. So, throughout the game, Franklin is 20 years old. But what about the events that happen after the main story?
If you've played the online version, you'll know that the events there take place after the main story, with Franklin and the others continuing their criminal exploits. But again, Rockstar hasn't given us a specific age for Franklin in these events. It's safe to assume he's still in his early 20s, though.

So, the next time you're pulling off a heist with Franklin, remember, he's just a kid at heart, trying to make his way in the crazy world of Los Santos. And hey, maybe cut him some slack. He's got a lot on his plate.
