How Old Is Dae In Xo Kitty

Age ain't nothing but a number, right? Let's chat about Dae from 'XO, Kitty'.

So, you've been binge-watching 'XO, Kitty', huh? You're not alone. This Netflix gem has us all swooning over Dae, the dreamy K-pop idol with a heart of gold. But have you ever wondered, just how old is this heartthrob?

Well, grab your snacks and let's dive in. Spoiler alert: we're not talking about his K-pop career age here. We're going deep into his actual age, because let's face it, we're all curious cats.

First things first, let's set the scene.

'XO, Kitty' is a delightful rom-com based on the 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' series. Dae, played by the charming Minyeong Choi, is a K-pop idol who falls for Kitty Song, our lovestruck heroine. But how old is this idol in real life, and how old is he supposed to be in the show?

Let's talk real life.

Minyeong Choi, the actor who brings Dae to life, was born on February 13, 1997. That makes him a solid 25 years old as of 2023. Now, let's put on our math hats and do some calculating.

Choi was 24 when 'XO, Kitty' was filmed. So, in the timeline of the show, Dae is also around 24 years old. But remember, age is just a number, and in the world of K-pop, it's all about the concept and the image they're trying to portray.

Now, let's talk show age.

In the show, Dae is a K-pop idol who's been in the industry for a while. He's got the experience, the fame, and the adoring fans. But his character is written to be a bit more mature than your average 24-year-old. He's wise beyond his years, you could say.

Think about it: Dae's been through the wringer in the K-pop industry. He's had to grow up fast, deal with fame at a young age, and navigate the complexities of love and relationships in the public eye. So, while he's physically 24, his emotional age might be a bit older.

But what about that age gap with Kitty?

Kitty, played by the lovely Anna Cathcart, is 17 in the show. That's a 7-year age gap with Dae. Now, before you start fretting about the age difference, remember that age is just a number, and love knows no bounds. Plus, it's a work of fiction, folks!

In real life, the age gap between Minyeong Choi and Anna Cathcart is a bit smaller. Choi is 8 years older than Cathcart. But again, it's all about the character dynamics in the show, and how they navigate their relationship.

So, what can we learn from Dae's age?

Well, for one, age is just a number. Dae might be 24 in the show, but his emotional maturity and life experiences make him seem older. Plus, it's a reminder that everyone grows and matures at their own pace. Some 17-year-olds might be more mature than some 24-year-olds, and vice versa.

And hey, if you're a fan of 'XO, Kitty', you might find yourself relating to Dae's character, regardless of his age. After all, love and heartbreak know no age boundaries. So, the next time you're watching Dae and Kitty's love story unfold, remember that age is just a number, and love is what makes the world go round.
