How Old Is Clarke In The 100

So, How Old Is Clarke in 'The 100', Anyway?

Alright, let's dive into the time-traveling, post-apocalyptic world of 'The 100' and figure out just how old our favorite leader, Clarke Griffin, really is. Now, I know what you're thinking, "Who cares? She's just a character!" Well, hold your ponytails, because there's more to this than meets the eye. Stick around, and I'll make it as fun as a game of 'Find the Liar' at a Grounder camp.

Let's Start at the Beginning

Imagine Clarke as a little sprout, growing up on the Ark, a space station that's basically a giant tin can floating in the sky. She's born in 2149, and the Ark's population is dwindling faster than a snowman in summer. So, when the bigwigs decide to send a hundred juvenile delinquents (hence the show's name) to Earth to see if it's habitable again, Clarke is among them. She's 17, full of sass, and ready to take on the world.

Now, here's where things get a tad confusing. The 100 arrive on Earth in 2153, and Clarke's been floating around in space for four years. But here's the kicker - Earth time has passed much slower than Ark time due to time dilation. So, when Clarke lands on Earth, 12 years have passed for the people already living there. Whoa, mind blown, right?

Clarke's Earth Years

So, Clarke lands on Earth in her physical 17-year-old body, but she's technically a 29-year-old in Earth time. Got it? Good. Now, let's fast-forward through the seasons. Clarke becomes a leader, falls in love (like, a lot), fights off various threats, and makes more tough decisions than a politician on election day.

The 100: How Old Clarke Was At The Beginning & The End

By the time we reach the end of season 6, Clarke has been on Earth for about 10 years (Earth time). But remember, time dilation? Yeah, it's still a thing. So, while Clarke's been on Earth for 10 years, only about 7 years have passed on the Ark. This means, in Ark time, Clarke is around 24 years old. But in Earth time, she's pushing 40!

Why Should You Care?

Okay, so maybe you're still not convinced that knowing Clarke's age is all that important. But hear me out. Clarke's journey is a testament to the fact that age is just a number. She's been through more than most people twice her age, and she's still standing (well, most of the time).

Lost in... The 100: tra fantascienza e lotta alla sopravvivenza

Plus, it's just plain fun to try and keep track of it all. It's like a real-life puzzle, and who doesn't love a good puzzle? So, the next time you're watching 'The 100' and you see Clarke making another tough call, remember, she's been around the block a few times. She's not just a kid anymore, no matter what her physical age says.

And there you have it, folks. Clarke Griffin, the time-traveling, post-apocalyptic leader we all love to hate (and hate to love). So, the next time someone asks, "How old is Clarke in 'The 100'?", you can smile knowingly and say, "Well, it's complicated..."
