So, I was binge-watching Wednesday the other day, you know, because Tim Burton and Addams Family, who could resist? And there I was, chuckling at the dry humor, when it hit me - just how old is Ajax, Wednesday's trusty familiar? I mean, he's been around since the 1930s, right? That's like, older than my grandma's antique tea set!
Now, I know what you're thinking, "But Wednesday is set in the present day, how can Ajax be that old?" Well, buckle up, my curious friend, because we're about to dive into the magical, mystical world of familiars and their age-defying ways.
Age is just a number... or is it?
In the world of Wednesday, Ajax is Wednesday's familiar, a black cat who's been by her side since, well, forever. But if we're talking about the original Ajax from the Addams Family comics, he first appeared in 1938, created by Charles Addams. That's 84 years ago, folks! Now, I'm no expert on cat years, but that's got to be like, what, a hundred in human years?

But here's the thing, familiars aren't your average cats. They're magical creatures, bound to their witches for life. And just like their witchy counterparts, they've got a bit of a longevity thing going on. So, while Ajax might look like your average black cat, he's packing some serious age under that glossy fur.

So, how old is Ajax, really?
Well, that's where things get a bit tricky. See, familiars don't age like we do. They grow up, sure, but they don't get old. At least, not in the way we think of old. Ajax has been around since the 1930s, but he's not 84 in cat years. He's just... Ajax. Ageless, timeless, always there to give Wednesday a nudge when she needs it.
Now, I know what you're thinking. "But what about Wednesday? She's a teenager, right? How does that work with an ancient familiar?" Well, that's the magic of the Addams Family for you. Wednesday might be a teenager, but she's got the wisdom and experience of generations behind her. Ajax is more than just a pet; he's a link to her family's past, a constant reminder of who she is and where she comes from.

In conclusion...
So, there you have it. Ajax, the ageless familiar, is as old as the Addams Family itself. He's a constant, a comfort, a silent, furry presence in Wednesday's life. And while we might never know his exact age, we do know one thing - he's got some serious wisdom packed into that tiny little cat brain of his.
Next time you're watching Wednesday, take a moment to appreciate Ajax. He's not just a cat; he's a piece of history, a bridge between generations, a silent guardian of the Addams Family legacy. And who knows? Maybe he's got some stories to tell. If only he could talk, right?
