How Old Are The Losers In It

So, you've been binge-watching "It" again, huh? I mean, who can blame you? Those Losers are just so... lovable. But have you ever wondered, just how old are they? I mean, they're not exactly spring chickens, right?

Let's rewind, shall we?

We're talking about the 1980s here. The Losers' Club first came together in 1988, when they were all around 12-13 years old. Now, I know what you're thinking, "But they look like they're in their late teens!" Well, that's Hollywood magic for you. They had to make them a bit older to, you know, handle the horror.

Now, let's fast forward to "It Chapter Two".

It's been 27 years since their first encounter with Pennywise. So, if we do the math, the Losers would be around 40 years old. But again, Hollywood. They cast actors who were actually in their late 30s to early 40s to play the adult Losers. I mean, have you seen James McAvoy's hairline? He's practically a silver fox!

But here's the thing, the characters' ages aren't just arbitrary. Each Loser's age in the adult timeline corresponds to the year the book "It" was published. Stephen King released the novel in 1986, so when the Losers return to Derry in "It Chapter Two", it's 2016. Neat, huh?

And what about the actors themselves?

Well, the child actors were all around 12-13 when they filmed the first movie. And the adult actors? They were all in their late 30s to early 40s. So, they were pretty much the same age as their characters. Spooky, right?

Here's What the Losers Club From 'It' Have Been Up to the Past 8 Years

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But what about the timeline? The kids and adults can't be the same age!" Well, that's where the magic of storytelling comes in. The Losers' Club members are all grown up, but they're still connected to their childhood selves. It's like, their adult selves are just waiting for their inner child to come out and play. Or something like that.

So, there you have it.

The Losers in "It" are around 40 years old in the adult timeline. But hey, age is just a number, right? Especially when you're fighting a terrifying clown. Now, who's ready for another round of "Never Smile at a Crocodile"?
