So, there I was, a few years back, wandering around London, when I stumbled upon this old bloke selling Arsenal FC scarves outside the Emirates. I struck up a chat, and he starts telling me about the good old days. "You should've seen Bergkamp, mate," he says, eyes twinkling, "Pure magic on the pitch." That got me thinking, you know? About all those Arsenal legends we've seen come and go.
Once Upon a Time at Highbury
Let's rewind, shall we? Back when Highbury was our home, and the likes of Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp were tearing it up. Remember Henry's goal against Manchester United in the 2003 FA Cup final? The old-timer I met certainly did. He described it like it was yesterday, eyes wide, like he was reliving every step. "He just... glided, he did," he said, chuckling.
And what about Tony Adams, the Invincible himself? Captain, leader, legend. He was Arsenal through and through. I mean, who can forget that header against Everton in '94? The old-timer certainly couldn't. "Tony was a rock, a wall," he told me, shaking his head in admiration.

From Invincibles to the Emirates
Fast forward to the Invincibles era. No losses in a whole Premier League season? That's some serious stuff. And let's not forget Patrick Vieira, the midfield maestro, pulling the strings. The old-timer was practically giddy talking about him. "Vieira, he was like a ballet dancer, the way he moved on that pitch," he said, grinning.

Then, we moved to the Emirates. New stadium, new era. But the legends kept coming. Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Santi Cazorla - they all left their mark. The old-timer was less fond of some of these moves, mind you. "Van Persie, he scored some beauties for us, then up and left for United," he grumbled, shaking his head.
Where Are They Now?
So, where are they now, our Arsenal legends? Well, some are still in the game, managing or coaching. Vieira's at Crystal Palace, Bergkamp's an assistant at Ajax. Henry's been doing punditry, and Adams is a coach too, over in India. And let's not forget our Invincibles, still going strong in various roles.

But you know what? No matter where they are now, they'll always be Arsenal legends. They're part of our history, our DNA. And every time we see them, it's like a little trip down memory lane. Like that old-timer said, "Football's about the memories, innit? The ones that make you smile, the ones that make you cheer."
So here's to our Arsenal old boys. Thanks for the memories, lads. And here's to the future, to the new legends in the making. Because, you know what? That's what makes Arsenal, Arsenal.
