Agent Cody Banks Movie Cast

So, I was at this retro movie night the other day, and they were playing Agent Cody Banks. You remember that one, right? The 2003 spy flick that was basically a tween version of James Bond? I was like, "Wow, I haven't thought about that movie in ages!" And then it hit me - I never really knew much about the cast. I mean, sure, I knew Frankie Muniz was the titular Cody Banks, but what about the rest of the crew? Let's dive in, shall we?

Frankie Muniz - Cody Banks

Alright, let's start with the main man himself, Frankie Muniz. You probably know him best as Malcolm from Malcolm in the Middle, right? Well, he traded in his middle child antics for a spy tux in this one. I always thought it was cool how he went from playing this awkward kid to a suave (well, kinda suave) secret agent. And hey, did you know he's also a musician and a magician? Talk about a multitalented guy!

Hilary Duff - Natalie Connors

Now, who could forget Hilary Duff as Cody's love interest, Natalie? She was just starting to make a name for herself outside of Lizzie McGuire with this role. I mean, who didn't have a crush on her back then? And let's not forget, she's also a super talented singer. I bet you're humming "Come Clean" right now, aren't you? 🎵

Side note: Did you know Hilary Duff was actually 15 when she filmed this movie, but her character was supposed to be 17? They had to add some strategic shots to make her look older. Talk about Hollywood magic!

Angela Bassett - Agent Ernie Reyes

Alright, let's talk about the awesome Angela Bassett. She played Cody's handler, Agent Ernie Reyes. I mean, who else could pull off being both a mentor and a total badass? She's got an incredible resume, from What's Love Got to Do with It to American Horror Story. And fun fact: she was actually pregnant during the filming of this movie! Can you imagine having to hide a baby bump in spy gear?

Sfondo Agente Cody Banks

Ian McShane - Derek Mears

Now, let's not forget the villain of the piece, Derek Mears, played by the fantastic Ian McShane. You might recognize him from Deadwood or American Gods. He's got this amazing presence that just commands the screen. And let's be real, who didn't love a good Bond villain wannabe back in the day?

And the Rest...

Of course, there were plenty of other great actors in this movie. Like the always hilarious Keith David as Cody's dad, or the legendary Cynthia Stevenson as Cody's mom. And who could forget the awesome Barry Bostwick as the school principal? I mean, come on, it's Yentl and The Rocky Horror Picture Show guy!

So there you have it, folks! A little trip down memory lane with the cast of Agent Cody Banks. It's crazy to think how much these actors have done since then. But hey, that's Hollywood for you - always full of surprises!

Anyway, I'm off to find my old 'NSync CD and reminisce about the early 2000s. Until next time, movie buffs!
